Update: We just got a call that Tyler Alsip won his third match and is going on to wrestle tommorrow. Unfortunatly, Robert James lost his match and is now out of the tournament, but finished with an amazing senior season for Norwood.
This year Norwood has two boys going to state for wrestling. Junior Tyler Alsip and Senior Robert James. This Thursday and Friday they will be in Columbus wrestling for the championship. Tyler has said that he is really excited to be going to state. “I worked really hard to get here and the kid that I beat to go to state, I have beat six times this year!” Said Alsip.
To get himself prepared for state he is keeping mentally calm and is trying to get in as much practice as he can. He has said that when he found out that he was going to state he was really excited because that meant that he had worked hard enough to be there. Mr. Robisch has said that they have been practicing at Moeller for the last couple days to prepare themselves. They are training with kids in other divisions that qualified for state.
